Donderdag 27 maart 2025 is ter gelegenheid van de opening van het Tulp Festival Amsterdam, de NEMO-tulp onthuld en officieel gedoopt. De ‘NEMO’ tulp is bijzonder leliebloemig van vorm, is crèmekleurig met rood en verbloeit naar meer rood met wit.

Sinds de allereerste editie in 2015 wordt jaarlijks in april het iconische dak van NEMO Science Museum getooid met tulpen. De nieuwe tulp is gedurende de hele maand april op het dakterras van het museum te bewonderen. 

NEMO Science Museum is het grootste wetenschapsmuseum van Nederland en is voor iedereen die nieuwsgierig is. Iedere bezoeker, van jong tot oud, kan hier zelf de wereld van wetenschap en technologie ontdekken. Het museum neemt je mee in een wereld van alledaagse dingen die toch heel bijzonder zijn. Een knetterende trui of een regenboog: na een bezoek aan NEMO zal je met nieuwe ogen naar de wereld kijken.

On Thursday 27 March, the NEMO tulip was unveiled and officially christened on the occasion of the opening of the Tulp Festival Amsterdam 2025. The ‘NEMO’ tulip has a special lily-flowered shape, is cream-coloured with red and fades to red with white.

Since the very first edition of Tulp Festival, in 2015, the iconic roof of the NEMO Science Museum has been adorned with tulips in April. The new tulip can be admired on the roof terrace of the museum throughout the month of April.
